In 1960, the Walker family of Austin purchased nearly 200 acres of land in Hays
County, just across the Travis County line near Hamilton Pool Road.
For over 40 years it remained a small ranching operation and hunting haven.
Today it is a picturesque residential community. Its beautiful oaks and 40 mile
views make it a Texas Hill Country find.
The Walking W Ranch encompasses five phases. Yet to be developed is the final
and fifth phase, which is being envisioned as a gated community. The residents
